Pop by the Basketry Study Group this summer and check out what’s happening. Not only are the members testing their skills with purchased fiber, but recently they have also been stripping bark, harvesting willow & poplar copices, and stripping thornes from various vines. There has been stripping of bark from willow and cypress branches, not to mention stripping of the dried bark into 1/2 strips for weaving. Our goal is to make interesting woven sculptures and baskets for the Fall Market Sale. Next Basketry meeting is July 15th. Join us!
