World Wide Knit in Public Day is June 9th, we will be knitting at the Richland Library from 9:30 – 2:00pm in the lobby on the big comfy couch.
Joyce and Nancy brought in more squares for the Hanford High afghan. Now there are 25 squares enough for a 5 by 5 afghan. I will crochet it together in time for the June meeting. YAY US!
This month cornbread was a hot topic. The main thing I learned is you NEVER ever put sugar in cornbread. If you add sugar you have cake not bread. Here is a list of accepted ingredients for cornbread
- 1 c cornmeal
- 1/3 c flour
- 1 egg
- buttermilk
- salt
- baking powder
- oil
- NO Sugar
- Bake in a cast iron skillet
