Our next meeting will be Tuesday August 21st from 6:00 to 8:00pm in Conference Room A at the Richland Library.

Our members are very generous with time and yarn. Last month we asked for knitted leaves for the Autumn Leaves Shawl and this month we received 34. We only need 20 more leaves to finish. The Dryad is going to be very happy at this year’s Merrie Greenwood.

We put out a request for acrylic yarn for Project Warm-up and received 4 bags and on the way the car someone donated another large box of yarn.

The Initials Challenge – from the chart look up your initials and find the 3 colors you just love, then add 1 neutral and bring your project by the Christmas Party December 18th. I emailed the Central Oregon Spinners and Weavers Group to tell them we stole borrowed their challenge. They replied that they “borrowed” it from the Portland Handweavers Guild. They would like to see pics of your finished projects too. A Library staff member as requested that someone adopt her and make a project with her initials LMA, she would like Lemon, Midnight Blue and Aqua so she can pretend she is “at the beach on the edge of the
water looking into the sunset”. A pdf of the chart will be the website.
