More details on our DFA Fall Sale

Location:
Debra Folger of Badger Mountain Yarns is standing by her offer from last November to host our sale again this year. The new part is that she is now located within Art on the Columbia, near Lowe’s in Kennewick, kitty-corner from JoAnn’s, below the Sprint store. Stop in and say hello!

Dates/times:
November 7, Thursday. We can set up all day, then open in the evening, 6:30p-8p.
Nov. 8, Friday, 10a-6p
Nov. 9, Saturday, 10-4p. Then take down afterward.

Details:
Art on the Columbia has lots of tables for us to use. We need to bring the display props. They are asking their landlord for special permission for us to stick our signs around the property.

Both Debra and LeVonda Kellogg of A on the C will be advertising our event to their customers. Those customers are potentially our customers. Our Sale will benefit them as well with more foot traffic in their stores.

How you can help:
1. Attend the first planning meeting this Saturday, June 29, 10-11am at the DFA Studio. If you’ve already volunteered, please try to come. We can get better acquainted at the meeting and see who else is on your team. Now’s the time to share your good ideas to make this a successful way for us to sell our creations, show the world what we do, and bring in a bit of money for DFA as well. RSVP to Cheryl, ch*************@gm***.com or text (509)318-5293. [Our next meeting will be in September.]

2. Volunteer to help with the jobs that will be sent out after Saturday’s meeting. (Almost the same list that came in your email last week.)

3. Consider what groups you know that could use DFA as a program for their meeting. We can do a presentation on some of the design decisions that go into our creations. Let them handle our products. Give them Save The Date cards for the sale. Please send the contact information of that group to Cheryl Reed, ch*************@gm***.com, or to Jennifer Ely, je**@sa**************.com.

4. Keep making your lovely articles for the sale. We need big and small. The usual high-quality items, from dryer balls to garments, from knit wash cloths to large rugs. Consider handspun or hand-dyed yarns, since some of our customers will be knitters/crocheters. Maybe wall art to appeal to A on the C fine art customers. Have fun this summer. If you’re making 1 lovely thing, consider making 2. One for you and one for our Sale.

Again RSVP to Cheryl, ch*************@gm***.com or text (509)318-5293
