3 new classes should be going live on the website soon

Beginning knitting 101, beginning knitting 102 (follows 101), Kumihimo. Here are the descriptions of the classes. Note that the beginning knitting 101 class begins Wednesday April 10 so sign up ASAP. Limited to 6 students and it will be opening to the public on Saturday (the 6th).

  • Knitting 101 – Beginning knitting I
  • $40 + $5 supply fee
  • Learn the basics of knitting in this 4 week class. All supplies are included with the $5 supply fee.
  • Make 3 projects while learning knitting basics.
  • Class is limited to 6 students.
  • Absolutely no experience necessary.
  • Open to students ages 8+.
  • Class will be held Wednesday  April 10, 17, 24 and May 1 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.

 

  • Knitting 102 – Beginning knitting II
  • $40 + $5 supply fee
    Learn more knitting basic techniques in this 4 week class. Students must have taken knitting 101 or have the permission of the teacher. Expand on your knitting knowledge as you become more familiar with the basics. You will make 3-4 projects in this class.
  • Class is limited to 6 students.
  • Prerequisite: Knitting 101.
  • Open to students ages 8 and up.
  • Class will meet on Wednesday  May 8, 15, 22 & 29 6:30-8:00.

 

  • KUMIHIMO – Japanese braiding
  • $30 + $10 supply fee
  • Kumihimo is the art of Japanese braiding. Students of this one day seminar will create 3 to 4 bracelets designed to practice Kumihimo. Students will learn to follow a simple pattern and learn how to complete their project into beautiful bracelets.
  • No experience necessary to participate in this class. Open to students ages 8 and up.
  • Saturday, April 27 from 9:00 – 3:00.
  • Bring a bag lunch or Thai food and sandwiches also available nearby. Water, coffee, tea provided.
