The RHSG got off to an awesome start in 2022 exploring weaving sprang motifs! It’s always amazing what the group can weave! In February we celebrated our 10th anniversary! Who knew back in 2012 when we started it would be such a successful study group! Other projects we explored were a finger controlled sampler, weaving back scrubbers, overshot and our latest is weaving with two reeds. Two reeds open possibilities with finer threads in plain weave, more pattern weaving with Summer and Winter designs, and bound weave designs with Krokbragd.

The signature aspect of the RHSG is that even if more advanced techniques are being explored, new weavers are always welcome to join in. There will always be someone to put the “Each One, Teach One” into action and introduce you to warping and get you started down the pathway of successful weaving. Curious about weaving with a rigid heddle loom. Feel free to stop by on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month and check out the variety of activities going on.

There is no limit to what we can do on that every so humble but versatile rigid heddle loom!
