Three looms at the studio are warped and available for members to weave on.
  • The Schacht 24” Baby Wolf has Bronson Lace variation in cottolin fiber. Reserve the  Baby Wolf: Click here
  • The Gilmore 8 shaft loom is warped with 8/2 variegated cotton in a false damask pattern. Reserve the  Gilmore
  • The Niles LeClerc 4 shaft is currently threaded in a white 8/2 cotton warp for a twill sampler based on a pattern from Jean Scorge’s Weavers Craft. Reserve the LeClerc  

 

  • The Harrisville 8 shaft is ala carte meaning it is ready to be called your own with pattern and warp of your choice, for you and only you. Create the project of your choice and ‘bee-weave-it will b-ee-u-ti-ful!!  Reserve the Harrisville 
  • The Schacht 4 shaft is also being rethreaded, by popular request, with another colorful twill and basket weave pattern for the DFA Signature towels. This warp is being ‘honeysuckled (tied) on to the previous warp. Want to learn more about this process? A helper would be most welcome. Reserve the Schact 4 shaft

The Newcomb semi-automatic loom is in the process of having a new warp wound for the Hollywood pattern. Susan Schmieman and spouse Eric did some refurbishment on connections for the fly shuttle. With a horse rein, carabiner and a piece of wire cable, Susan says it works like a dream now. Get your cloth strips or rug yarn ready for some beautiful rugs.

How to reserve a time to weave: Simply go to the DFA website: Log in, click on Guild Shop, then select the loom you want to weave on, check out the availability on the calendar and sign up in the time slot that works for you. At $2.50/week plus prorated warp costs, sitting down to a prewarped loom can’t be beat.!!
